Hope you had a good start to your week. I started mine off with some apple spice oats, of course:
After my Kin 101 class, I had my psychology exam. It went well, and I got out early. I was walking to my next class, and when I was almost there I noticed several firetrucks flying by with their sirens on. I didn't think too much of it, until I got a text from the ASU Emergency Alert service saying that there had just been a suicide in a building on campus. Apparently, a grad student shot himself while talking to a prof in the prof's office. So sad :( Another unnerving thing is that I was right on that building's street when it happened--about a 3 minute walk away.
I was definitely glad to get home and off-campus. I had a Dr. Praeger's california veggie burger salad:
I used Annie's Lite Honey Mustard dressing. I usually get into a salad dressing phase, which turns into a rut and ends up with me getting really sick of the dressing. I'm loving this one, especially since it's such a change from the Island marinade or strawberry balsamic.
I had a physical therapy appointment today, too. My PT had told me to take a 40 minute walk over the weekend, so I did that yesterday. My hip actually felt pretty good! I did have to endure all the not-so-classy guys honking, whistling, and shouting stuff from their car or across the street. I was texting K about this--seriously, do they expect we're gonna be like "oh, I'm so flattered you honked and yelled 'hey sexy!" at me. Why don't I give you my number?" She replied she'd be interested to hear a true love story that started via catcall. I would, too! Somehow, I think they're pretty rare. Haha
After PT, I went to the grocery store to get a few items, since I know I'm gonna be way too busy these next couple days. I'm still working on learning all that info on my bio notecards! Thankfully it's material that's actually useful to me, as I want to be a physical therapist. The origin, insertion, and action of all those muscles are just the building blocks!
Here were a few more eats of the day:
Plain yogurt mixed with cocoa powder, Nunaturals stevia, cinnamon, and some chocolate protein powder:
Grapes:
x3 or so ;)
Cereal mix (Kix, kashi puffed wheat, kashi vive) with pretzels, cinnamon, and a liquid base of unsweetened almond breeze mixed with jay robb vanilla protein powder. It adds the perfect amount of sweetness, and works really well with the pretzels for a great sweet + salty combo:
x2
I also had more, like 2 apples and more yogurt, but it didn't get pictured. Hey, I'm amazed I posted 2 days in a row ;)
For my whole week, I had one teeny little free spot in the afternoon tomorrow-- after my 2:45 class and before my 6:00 harp lesson. So what do I do? Fill it, of course! Ha. I'm gonna be meeting up for coffee with my old friend and music theory study buddy from my music school days. Err, years. That'll be fun! The rest of the week is filled with classes, PT, exams, studying, practicing harp and a 3-freakin'-hour long master class with this guest harpist. The crazy scary lab practical is on Wednesday. Eek! Speaking of that, I gotta go spend some quality time with my flashcards and muscles like the serratus anterior, sternocleidomastoid, and flexor carpi radialis longus. Does that sound like a good time or what? ;)
Haha, before I go I need to share this search term with you. Someone found my blog by google searing: "calories burned playing harp"
Answer: not that many! You're just sitting your butt, moving your hands and your feet some to get the pedals (if you plat pedal harp). I'd probably equate it to working at a desk! Unless of course, you're doing some kind of extreme harping. If that's the case, please put a video on youtube, cause that'd just be plain awesome ;)
Q: Let's say you just got $1,000,000,000 to spend however you wanted traveling. Where would you go?
I'd go to Hawaii, then Italy because I think that'd be awesome--and I've never been out of the US, save for Canada. Then I'd go to more tropical islands, for sure! Oh, Sweeden and Switzerland would be cool, too ;) I want to learn to ski and snowboard! What about you?

thailand would be beautiful, but it is so hot and muggy...like arizona plus a steam machine
I would go to Ireland for sure, then France and India.
I've been to Japan, and don't really have a desire to go back to that area again.
mmm.. your apple spice oats looks goood!!
I would travel all around the U.S., especially up in Northwest area and then go to Hawaii, then to Japan, then to Scotland, then who knows where else... 1,000,000,000 is a lot of money! :)
Glad the test and PT went well! So sad to hear about the suicide. Grapes are amazing aren't they? I can eat a whole bag in 1 sitting ;)
i would travel the whole world! That would be amazing! :)
Glad everything went well today and I hope you are feeling better and everything is healing for you dear.
Oooo, tough question. I would LOVE to go to Austrailia. We are actually planning a trip to Italy and Greece next year but that was my dream choice before it became a reality! :)
Take care Anne. Have a great day today!
Ohmy, that is so upsetting about what happened at your school! I hope that professor is doing okay!
I would backpack through the UK and Ireland, go to hot springs in Iceland, then hike up the volcanoes in Hawaii :)

I've been lucky enough to do quite a bit of traveling, but I would definitely use the money to go spend a month in Argentina where my best friend has been living for two years! I want to make sure I go and visit her before she comes back to the States!
Oh, that's so scary about that student!
and if i had all that money, i would go back to australia, new zealand, then get to greece and japan!!
Next time someone honks at me, I'm giving them my number. If I go missing you'll know why.... ;)

To answer your Q: I'd go all over Europe! I don't really have a desire to go anywhere but Europe so maybe I'll meet a handsome British gentleman and live in the countryside!
