How was your Monday? Mine was pretty good. I'm excited since we don't have class Wednesday-- Arizona takes Veterans Day pretty seriously.
Breakfast was apple oats:
Surprise, surprise. I was hungry and my apples were on the medium side, so I used 2 apples for this. I guess that makes em Double Apple Oats.
After classes, I came home and had a faux-yo and Dr. Praeger's veggie salad:
My pre-PT snack was 2 bowls of kashi puffed rice and kashi vive, mixed with jay robb vanilla protein powder and vanilla almond breeze:
I added some cinnamon after the pic.
PT went pretty well, but the hip is definitely still an issue. After a few sets of walking lunges, I could barely stand back up when my left leg was back. Oh, and I was totally wearing my shirt inside out for like 45 minutes and no one said anything. I ducked into the bathroom to change it, but ay yi yi. Haha
When I got home I started on some "anything goes veggie soup." My house smells so good right now!
I used:
1 box of no-chicken broth
2 15 oz. cans of diced tomatoes
1 sweet potato
3/4 onion
1/2 bag Thai style frozen veggies
1/2 bag Chinese style frozen veggies (It was a multicultural soup)
Some frozen peas + carrots
2 cloves of minced garlic
Basil, oregano, and dashes of red pepper, jamaican jerk spice, a touch of cumin and turmeric
I sauteed the sweet potato and the onion in the pot first, then just pretty much added everything and simmered it for awhile. It's hard to mess up these kinds of veggie soup!
I've got some bio studying to do tonight. Tomorrow I've got PT in the morning, 2 classes, then I managed to fit in a chiropractor appointment. I really needed one, but I've had either class or PT during ALL the chiro's business hours the past 2 weeks. There's also a bio study sesh tomorrow night, and I think I'll try and hit it up. Couldn't hurt! My harp lesson is canceled since the teach is out of town, so it all works out. For once! Haha ;)
Oh the mail dude just came (yea, at 6:40 pm) and delivered me my Zevia package I won awhile ago from The Healthy Runner. It's got all the flavors:
I love Zevia and this just saved me some serious cash. I've been trying to use it more as a treat and not buy it often cause it is pretty expensive. It's awesome to win a whole case! The new ginger ale and black cherry are my favorite.
Ok, so who can't believe it's already November 9?? Where has time gone? I'm just realizing that we're getting to the end in most of my classes, and it's crazy. My History of Science and Obesity/Diabetes class just have the final left! Other classes just have 1 or 2 more tests and the final. Wow!
Q: When do you start decorating for the holidays?
It kinda varies every year, but I think last year at Thanksgiving my family put the tree up (since I was home). I think when I get back from Thanksgiving break I'll put up my own little tree. What about you? Whatever you celebrate, do you start decorating way in advance or do you like to wait?

That big ole bowl of veggies looks super. As does the cereal mix- kashi vive is one of my favorite cereals. Hooray for the prize back and good luck on the exam. Busy week over your way for sure!
I have got to try those sodas! All I hear are raves :o)
I always decorate late and forget to take down decorations until late too. LOL
I agree this semester has almost come to an end in a blink of an eye!!
I want to try Zevia too!

Yesterday my sister and i were going to put up a mini tree in our room, is it too soon!?? hhehhe. i love the holidays!
My school doesn't take off for Veteran's Day, but my rotation site this week does...yesss! I'm excited.
Your veggie soup looks so good and comforting...except that it's been 65-70 here this weekend and week..craziness!
We also get Veteran's Day off!
Enjoy the Zevia! It is really addicting.
We will start decorating right after Thanksgiving. I still have my Halloween/Fall decorations up. I need to do that tomorrow on my day off.
mmm soup that sounds so lovely!!
My mom always had a rule that we could decorate the day after thanksgiving, but not before
I can't believe it's almost halfway through November already! That's nuts.
Your apple oats look amazing! I need to start making that! Congrats on winning the Zevia! Love the stuff. I usually decorate around Thanksgiving.
So jealous of that whole cast of Zevia- congrats! Ideally, my house would already be completely decorated, but my family isn't quite as nuts as I am, so it'll have to wait until after Thanksgiving :)
Zevia rocks. Enjoy! I LOVE to decorate for the holidays. Makes me feel festive. If I had it my way that christmas tree would be up already! But I promised I wouldnt set it up until after thanksgiving. *sigh* but I still busted out all my fall and winter decor this past weekend! Oh i also leave up some fall decorations year round. LOL. I just get super busy and always forget about it and now Im just used to looking at it. Pretty sad, eh? haha. Ah well...Have a great day!
I start decorating in October. :D First for fall and then the xmas stuff comes out in November sometime. Sometimes before T-day and sometimes after.
Glad you got it!
